From March 2005 I am a research fellow in Computer Science at the University College London - Computer Science Department. My main research areas are Software Architectures (SA) and Performance Analysis. I am studying different performance models in order to understand their expressive power and the aspects of systems they allow to analyze. This study is finalized to guide the choice of the potential best model in several situation, which is a quite hard task. Moreover, it is well known that the software models used to describe SA are very far from performance models, so requiring to software architects particular skills and knowledge to deal with the last ones. For this reason I am investigating the possibility of automated translation from SA description to performance models. I’m applying this software performance engineering research to ubiquitous computing software systems.

During my Ph.D. program at the Computer Science Department of the University of L’Aquila, my main research areas has been Software Architectures (SA) and Performance Analysis. For this reason I’m investigating the possibility of automated translation from SA description to performance models. I am also interested on integrating the results of different analyses made on SA in order to obtain useful helps in validation and verification of SAs. I am also investigating the suitability of the performance analysis to dynamically manage the performance of software systems at run time through monitoring, reconfiguration and performance model evaluation.
